One of the ways I have started writing articles and blog posts is from memos. I find that I can often explain things better than when I put pen to paper. So currently I am writing this from a recording on my phone. This is helping me tremendously towards creating more content to contribute to my SEO strategy.
I think if you are struggling to create more content you should look at others and what they are doing.
I remember when I was playing in bands a few years ago and writing music, myself and other fellow musicians from time to time encountered writers block or creative blocks. I remember watching an interview with Daniel Johns from Silver Chair and he said one of his trade secrets is he can look at a painting or picture, and create a story in his head around that picture and in turn he would put that into a song with the emotion he would gather from the story and use the story itself.
Another great way to create more written content is when you do video content or live content you could watch back over the recordings and transcribe them into articles and blog posts. I would highly recommend everyone creates a blog post or article every day. The system I explained and I am using right now enables me to record a quick 3 – 5-minute memo and then write it down in the same amount of time, and edit it a little.
Recently I have started a vlog and obviously I’m not the first person to do it, I got the idea from others and I watch a lot of Vlogs for inspiration for editing and entertainment purposes.
The other thing Is when your posting articles make sure you put it on your own website. It can be powerful to put all your articles on other social medium like, Linkedin or Medium but you should always backlink it to your website and the original article on your blog post. My last blog post had over a dozen links back to Vortexmts.com and the original blog post. I also linked back some terminology to other articles within my website and links to my personal Facebook and Instagram.
If you are worried that it’s a time waster to post your articles in places like smaller communities you should think the opposite way. I have found the places with smaller communities that I have more and better-quality responses from those places rather than on Facebook and Instagram.
